Firefly
APRIL RAPIER, BOB OLDREIVE & JOE LINDLEY
Firefly in a cobalt sky
All the warmth Ill have tonight
Behind the ridge a half moon hides
Distant as my lovers eyes
The river fog is spreading and Ive lost my way
The trail is twisting through the vines
At the waters edge tonight
You never know what you might find
If I could climb upon that ridge
Im sure Id find Heavens bridge
But I wont cross and break these ties
Im still chasing fireflies
I cant find the west wind to blow this fog away
Or carry my lovers voice to me
All at once a whisper tells me where I need to be
Firefly in a cobalt sky
All the warmth Ill have tonight
Behind the ridge a half moon hides
To try and capture fireflies
