My heart beats so oddly
As if in love but somewhat less dismayed
I've come to hate the city and the way it plays me
Rare moment little flower
Collapsed in my arms unable to charm
Administered periodic doses of misgivings
Lost amongst the dying it does set you strangely
And their faces seem so old hearts so elastic
All dreams abandoned all that's left is living
The smog hanging low we pretend we are
Perched up high in the hollywood hills
Ready to leap or tumble through backyards
Doberman prowled swimming pool gouged
Rare moment little flower collapsed
In my arms unable to charm
My heart beats so old now
As if I'm dying
