I was jealous of the garden in your room
And i was jealous of the flowers that would bloom
The colours, not yet seen by naked eyes
The aromas, not yet sensed by my lips
Yes I tried to resist, but curiosity insists
That is is, greener on the other side
I climbed the fence to peak over
Sticky-beak through your window
To digest, all the wonder, that grows in your room
Please forgive me, for I envy
Yes I tried to resist, but curiosity insists
That is is, greener on the other side
That is is, greener on the other side
Hailey Cramer -
I see these bean stalks growing and I'm still a bean
I tried to be patient but I wanna be seen
By you, my eyes, were brown but now they're green
With envy I am thirsty for your water I will drink
It seems to you wonders, that made me think
Things must be better there, over the fence where
All of your flowers bloom and sweet perfume fills the air
How can I not want all and more than what you got
I sneak a peak over the fence at what you got
It is obvious to me not just in my mind
This it is indeed, greener on the other side
Oh oh, greener on the other side
I swear, I swear, It's gotta be, gotta be
Greener on the other side
Not unpredictable, was the damage from the fall
The fence untrusting from the weight of all my lusting
Over gardens I did not grow
With the little time I did not waste on other pastures than my own
I did not spend on cultivating, my own
