under our bed,
is where we fled from
and we tucked our selves under the covers of our securities
and cuddled with our pillows of denial
can you here the drip drip dripping
of the blood drops falling
there were monsters under our beds
but your parents would tell us
its all in our heads
and as we grow up we start to believe
that cold terror of fear running though our veins
turn warm
and we seem to forget
that the monsters under our bed are a real as the
black in our hearts
deceit, mistrust, and disgust
Lingers on our breath we we speak
and we must have gotten used to the smell
we all at some point tend to forget
the drip drip dripping
of the blood drops falling
there were monsters under our beds
because we put them there
we had nowhere else to hide them
and we can't stand to look them in the face
everyday
there are mirrors under or beds
Don't you dare peek
then you'll realize that
the monsters you fear
is really you
and the teeth you feel
is really just trust
trying to scare you into believe the lie
that the world isn't always out to get you
There are monsters under your bed
please
wake up
hide behind the safety of your covers
please don't be naive
to the tricks that seem like treats
when its all deceit
trying to lure you into yourself
their under your bed
and their not going anywhere
so be cautious
be safe
