A wise man from the east
Drove west to the sea
Sharing poetry and shining bright
The star that brought him here was brilliant but I fear
A waning flicker next to his light
How unexpected, how he affected
So many things
When least expected, my heart’s protected
He had the key
And then we danced all night
He’s good at stopping time
I said “hear me sing”
He said “just kiss me”
How unexpected, how he affected
So many things
He changed the game, I’m not the same
He rescued me
His old soul haunting me
Paying visits in my sleep
Please remember me, returning to the east
He came this far and raised the bar
Now I can see
How unexpected, how he affected
So many things
None will compare, none hold a candle to his light
