The McMiners - A Prologue / The Jack and the Black Şarkı Sözleri
Two men from the same belly
One raised for the military
The other a man of God
A man of the cloth
The soldier, he fought
He honed his ire, his pride
He rose quickly throught the ranks
The other, the shepherd of men
Abandoned his celestial vows
And made a promise to the sea
In search of liberty, freedom and fortune
Their paths finally converged
On opposite sides
The older boy chose the king
The other had no loyalties
But to his own will and actions
Two fearsome captains
Two men bound by name
Bound by blood
Brothers
Now fierce opponents
The acrid smell of their gunpowder
Cut the night
The tragic cries of their battle
Travelled a thousand leagues
Across the stillborn seas
They chose life on the sea
Loyalty or greed
To rise and be free
Or follow the queen's decree
Respected they were
A ship they could stir
No killing amateur
Moral is always a blur
Through storms they'd arise
Through pain reach for the skies
It's easy to see in the eyes
What was their bigger prize
Blood bound they were
Never doubted they were sure
The way without return
One lives, the other shall burn
In the distance they spotted
Each other they knew
Their lines were now knotted
They alerted their crews
When ships were aligned
And blood had been spilled
A shot was then fired
Fate was fulfilled
Through storms they'd arise
Through pain reach for the skies
It's easy to see in the eyes
What was their bigger prize
Blood bound they were
Never doubted they were sure
The way without return
One lives, the other shall burn
They sailed every sea
With wind on their backs
No mercy, on a spree
For the jack or the black
They cry out loud
They chose their own side
For freedom, sing proud
Is the court your pride?
