Three wise men were seen at early morn
With all their retinue were proudly marching,
Trappings fine their camels did adorn,
For they were hasting to the recent born
With gifts of gold brought from far away
And valiant warriors to guard their kingly treasure,
With robes of splendor and banners gay,
And shields all shining in their bright array.
Lo, a star had led them through the night
With rays of beauty rare the heavens were lumined.
Thrilled with hope and cheered by visions bright,
With joy they hastened toward the guiding light.
Abundant blessings their journey brings,
With awe and reverence they near the holy Christ Child,
In homage bow to the King of kings
And earth with hope and peace and joy now sings!
