I spent Fat Tuesday at my brother's, sitting on the couch
He said his skin felt just like glycerin
And I watched him twist and shout
Now the second day of detox is ain't a pretty sight
And I cried alone on my way home then I got drunk that night
What kind of a world have we been given
When your own life prevents you from living
And when I die I want to go to Heaven
I heard there's no mirrors way up there
Hail Mary, full of grace,
The Lord is with Thee
My youngest son's got my father's face
It's a man he's never seen
Our Father, Who art in Heaven,
Please teach mine a lesson
Cause I'm having to answer questions
I never thought I'd face
I had a little run in with the IRS
They want half of what I make and we can't live on the rest
But the kids are healthy and my will is strong
And they can slap a lien on this house
But they can't touch our home
