2. He came to the common man
with words we could understand
And they found themself drawn to him
By the love in his eyes
Yet, some mocked and turned away
While Other said not today
But later we'll hear the word
That this man has to say..
3. They took him outside of town
The people all gathered 'round
And they stood watching as he died
Hanged him, nailed to a tree
His body was laid to rest
But the grave couldn't hold the best
