I remember the plan was to build a better world
All together but something has just gone wrong.
I remember speeches packed with aspirations, dreams and promises of every kind.
Heading to utopia seems to be our only chance.
Can some good ideas enlight the dark side of this people? but every single time we tried it felt just like everyone couldn’t care less
We strive to pretend that everything's ok but
The stench of this charade is slowly killing all my hope.
Living in the kingdom of the reconstruction, one day you destroy, one day you rebuild.
This is our life from the dawn of times till the day we die.
Then i finally realized we're aiming high. i realized we are aiming too high.
The ability to reduce what's beautiful to a pile of shit is the only single feature shared by all humanity.
But i know that things can just take the better of us sometimes.
That's why a little light keeps burning in the dark.
Some think we should only accept the many faults of our nature,
Others think a change's still possible.
Vague improvements look so petty compared to everyday mistakes,
We move one step forward and two steps back.
Promises we won’t remember, we just feel better without them, fucking stuck in reverse anyway.
