When I wake up in the morning
I stretch my arms up high
And then I look out of my window
Just to see that great big sky and I cry
Oh god I thank you for this morning
And for all that I have
And yet I'm sadden to know
There are those who may never have
Oh lord there are those
There are those who are alone
And those who lost there homes
And the poor little children
With out a family of their own
And the soldires who are at war
Fighting for their country they adore
Oh lord there are those
There are those who are so poor
And are left out to endure
And the greed who want it all
But their pride is so very small
And those who are so ill
Just this thought gives me a chill
Oh lord there are those
There are those who work so hard
To keep their lives from falling apart
And those who are so good
And are downed by crumbling hoods
It's not easy to pave the way
For those who struggle every day
So my lord I understand and I will help
While I can for as far as I can see
We are all your human beings
Oh lord there are those
