Soulcage - The White Light Songtexte

From a seed, to a schoolgirl, to a graduate, a prostitute
Became a junkie, a mother of a daughter with gratitude

For a mirror that allowed her mother to stare back
In a room starving for light to discern the darker shades, black
Please step in, inhale, and open your eyes
You may turn off the radio wishing you could censor this life
And fast-forward the times, won't let them touch you severely
With this bliss of ignorance dismissed, this life shall not miss her dearly
No, she won't have the luxury...

What's whispered in darkness, should be dragged out in white light
Covering the wrong should but hinder the right

Burn the curtains that sucked out the last breath
Of a girl born so bright she tried to light up the death
Inevitable like the sunset, covering all she'd possessed
Like sunrise, the fall is an all-day process

Destined to destroy a seed bound to shine
But the seed outshone by the black illuminates this rhyme
Written to rip the curtains absorbing the air
Blowing out the candle lit to handle despair

What's whispered in darkness, should be dragged out in white light
Covering the wrong should but hinder the might of right
But for every ray of light there's dark space left closed
In a battle for a breath, who advocates those opposed?

It doesn't make a difference whether you burn out or fade away
When the story's wrapped up in plastic, it's time to call it a day
