Salena Dabbs - Fire In The Hole Songtexte

Fire, Fire in the hole
(We the people our voices deserve to be heard)
Fire, Fire in the hole
(We won't be pushed around, we will stand our ground)
The castaways banded together to save the babies,
the weak and old caught in the crossfire
Took back freedom
stolen from machines we created
Onto the next city, the next city

They came in the middle of night
Like thieves on a heist
Robbed & ransacked the place
One by one divided the men from women and children
At gunpoint took them all away

Then chaos in the cities
Law and order now diminished
In the blink of an eye it all came crashing down
Flames on the hill where the monuments once stood
God help us all were the cries
Heard from around the world

Fire, Fire in the hole
(We the people our voices deserve to be heard)
Fire, Fire in the hole
(We won't be pushed around, we will stand our ground)
The castaways banded together to save the babies,
the weak and old caught in the crossfire
Took back freedom
stolen from machines we created
Onto the next city, the next city

The years went by with survivors forced into hardship and conformed society
Day by day
They held onto hope even though the scars reminded them of that fateful day

When chaos filled the cities
Law and order was diminished
As they watched it all come crashing down
All those flames on the hill where the monuments once stood
Gave them courage to rise up
And fight for a new world order

Fire, Fire in the hole
(We the people our voices deserve to be heard)
Fire, Fire in the hole
(We won't be pushed around, we will stand our ground)
The castaways banded together to save the babies,
the weak and old caught in the crossfire
Took back freedom
stolen from machines we created
Onto the next city, the next city

We didn't start the fire and it burned and it burned and it burned
We didn't start the fire and it burned and it burned and it burned
We didn't start the fire and it burned and it burned and it burned
We didn't start the fire and it burned and it burned and it burned
