RAINFALL - Sunlight Songtexte

Soaking, now, in the glare
A penetrating ray of daylight is plunging through and igniting the still cold air
Warmth, now, smoothing the stones
Worn down by the feet of generations past, memories of worlds from long ago
As creatures stir, their prickling fur signals my presence in this gold land
A walk through the fields yields a knowledge of life, death, and the endless existence of man

Haunting now
In my dreams
What i've sewn
I face to reap
Endless days
Of infinite night
Eternal streams
Of gentle plight

And from whence i came i shall never return!

I cast myself into the fires of the astral plain!

Though fear chills my soul, the will shows its strength!

Let the flame of spirit guide you on the greater path!

There once was a day when my soul was weak, my spirit beset by the spectre of comfort and terror at the unknown, at the trials and challenges that the future held for me.

But the will proved itself more powerful than any mortal doubt, any infirmity of flesh and blood, and faced the end with open arms and a strength beyond that of any mere man.

As the light travels on
And spirit determines those who might lead and others who just carry on
My fate left unsealed by destiny
Leaving me to take the reins and discover a future that others can't see
Bracing for a life once lost, unfettered by mortality
Shattering the mist and deceptions of what any man could choose to be
Now craft you words laced with the verve of the thousand deaths you will see
And drink from this life all the blood and the earth and take the crown of self-majesty
