Phil Mathison - Upon This Hill Songtexte

UPON THIS HILL

Upon this hill, I can see for miles
There's still that thrill, felt by younger eyes
The world lies below, and heaven is close by
Upon this hill, I stood as a child

Along this stream, I watched time roll out
With all my dreams, and my share of doubts
But I was strong, by the river's mouth
Along this stream, I once stood proud

And every road of my freewill,
Still finds me back, upon this hill

Across this sea, I once sailed my boat
Chased my destiny, to some unknown coast
There years passed by, before my journey home
But across this sea, I had sailed in hope

And every road of my freewill,
Still finds me back, upon this hill

INSTRUMENTAL

Upon this hill, after my last breath
As I lay still, I'll know I've been blessed
For I will live on, in traces I have left
Upon this hill, when I'm laid to rest
Upon this hill, when I'm laid to rest
