One of them said power corrupts
and means mustn't become destinations

yet you can't hear when you're inside the beast's belly
the insides whispered "to defeat evil you must become greater evil"
and i blindly followed

into the deep sea of madness
I once again fell
into the darkness
I've always called home
into the southern corner of blackness
I fell
as triumphs continued
and the light within me faded
as time took its toll
it was time to fall

reminded of who i once was
earth started to rumble beneath
freeing the ugliness forced within
ulcerated, contaminated and desecrated my soul was
seeing the abyss, yet unable to stop
embracing sorrow and anguish one last time
